Airodump-ng wireless tools not found

I was able to use the device as Wifi-Managed mode as a normal connection and put it into monitor mode. But the test with aireplay-ng --test wlan0mon turned out the same error.

I managed to fix it by following these steps: apt update apt install firmware-ralink apt install iw. I connected to Other WIFI network it works and it was giving empty output when I connected to one of my mobile hotspot. Subscribe Now. Yep works like a charm with Pi too! No biggie. Improve this answer. The Wireless Extension is an interface allowing you to set Wireless LAN specific parameters and get the specific stats. I heard that running from a VM like VirtualBox it will not correctly work because there VM will not be able to set the wifi in monitor mode. Is that correct?
